Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Tim Mack's Bio

Over the years, Santa Mack has worked hard at developing the Santa Claus character. It has caused one of his employers to say, “Santa Mack is without exception the most wonderful inspiration to children, but also to adults.  His sincerity and personification is magical and inspirational. It is something special that words just can not explain.  Let’s just say that Westfield Mall has the Macy's Santa from the classic film Miracle on 34th Street.”

Sevierville, Tennessee’s Tim Mack will be the first one to tell you that he may not be the best Santa in the world, but he is contantly working on improving the image as he portrays it.

Santa Mack even knows both sides of the camera. In fact it was how he became Santa in the first place.

Mack opened up his own photo studio in 1998 and  invited parents in his small community in central Montana to come in on a Saturday to get their child’s photo taken with Santa.  He located a man who had played Santa before to sit in the chair, but neither of them had a Santa suit.  After asking around, Mack found the local VFW had a Santa suit they would loan to him provided his Santa would come to their party that evening.

That Saturday, Santa showed up along with a dozens of children for their pictures to be taken. Mack photographed all that came to the studio that day and finished at 5 o’clock. Then, out of the blue, Santa decided he would not be doing the VFW party as he had changed his mind. This left Mack in a bind.

Mack made a commitment to provide Santa and he was not about to dismiss it.  Therefore, when the time came he donned the suit for the very first time in his life. Something happened when he put on that suit with the inexpensive beard and wig set.  A metamorphosis took place and before he left the small gathering, he was asked to make three more appearances.  It seemed at each new appearance he was asked to do another appearance. Suddenly Tim Mack became Santa Mack.

Since that fateful year Santa Mack has continually worked on his image and his authenticity. He works tirelessly on his knowledge in his craft and is constantly improving his Santa nature.

He has worked for Cherry Hill Photo in National City, California and Clearwater Florida with Westfield Malls.  Santa Mack was Co-Chair of the Branson Santa Convention in 2006 for workshops and was the Executive Director for Celebrate Santa Convention in 2009, along with being the workshops chair. He  is also a National Co-Chairman for the Knights of St. Nicholas and a ranking committee member of the Santa Claus Oath Foundation.

Santa Mack holds a Doctorate of Santaology from the International University of Santa Claus. He is exceptionally versatile, as in 2007 alone, he spent 171 days away from his lovely wife Dana.  Santa Mack flew 13,776 miles and drove another 13,104 miles to appear as Santa at shopping centers, themed attractions, and Holiday parties!

Santa Mack’s favorite positions were working at two different historical places. He spent one summer season in Santa Claus, Indiana at Santa’s Candy Castle, the first roadside attraction in the country and another summer season was spent at Santa’s Workshop in North Pole, New York.  He has also worked for a private concern at Tanger Outlet Mall, Bass Pro Shops, and worked three seasons for the Black Bear Jamboree, all in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Santa Mack has also been appearing at charitable events, as well as, a couple special Corporate parties.

Santa Mack tries to remind everyone that he encounters; “The Magic of Christmas is seen through the eyes, the memories of Christmas are always in your heart.”  And Mack says, “Being Santa is the most rewarding thing Mack has ever done.”
